Distant Memories
The wispy winds of Yavin 4 brushed against Faiyaz’s shoulder as she knelt to harvest the unique flora. Chills traveled up her spine as a familiar scent tugged at her small nose. Faiyaz wore a shocked expression, almost paralyzed in fear to turn around.
"Tuti oi âtinizi wa j'us?” (Is it you?)
She smiled warmly but upon turning around no one was there. Hands shot up and rubbed at her temples. Maybe, she was tired, and besides hallucinogenic flora will do that to you. She shook her head and continued to harvest. Once her bags were full, Faiyaz walked through the fields heading towards. She slacked the rope and then secured the bags in the back of her speeder. Trying to distract herself from her unsettled emotions, she pulled her map out looking for coordinates to scout some more. Again, she was met with his presence, even stronger than before. Faiyaz closed her golden eyes and meditated quietly. The jungles of Yavin IV suddenly became tranquil as only the wind echoed in her ears. She cooed as that familiar warmth wrapped around her waist then it crept up tenderly to the side of her neck.
“Nu riyiksmi j'us, ki aki.” (I sense you, my love.)
“Nu niyikada naiti j'us dzis Nu tuti âti ri w'ana.” (I never left you for I am amongst the stars.)
Tears streamed down her face, as he came into view. He appeared in the same manner as that bright day on Manaan, clothed in white shiny armor. It contrasted so well against his ripe currant skin tone. He caressed her face and gently wiped the corners of her eyes, eventually combing her long tresses. Silence by a passionate embrace, he pulled away from her wearing that genuine smile. Faiyaz’s eyes appeared glossy.
“Oi ai nindz mnurji! (It’s not fair!) I should’ve never pushed you away. You've always been patient with me.” Faiyaz raked her long tresses to the side in a frustrated manner.
“Fai, it’s not your fault. I never wanted to rush you into this, and you know that.”
“If I had let you have me sooner, we could’ve had more time together. You'd be alive and we'd be unstoppable. Nu tianira j'us.”(I miss you.)
“Don’t concern yourself with what could’ve been. You’ll always be in my heart, Faiyaz.” He kissed her tenderly as his presence started to fade away.
“Snichi, dari nindz naiti ki.”(Please, don't leave me.) Faiyaz reached out for him, but he was gone.
